Active Foliage: As a member of the rhizomatous family, its asymmetric, textured leaves grow in a dense, compact mound that continuously produces multi-colored growth.
Air Purifying: Naturally helps filter indoor air pollutants.
Perfect Size: Ideal starter size in a 4″ container, ready to drop into your favorite decorative planter cover.

🌿 Begonia Rex Care Instructions
While the Begonia Rex has a reputation for being a bit of a diva, providing the right environment will reward you with lush, continuous growth.
Sunlight: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Keep it out of direct afternoon sun, which can easily scorch the delicate metallic variegation or cause the brilliant colors to fade.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water thoroughly once the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Pro tip: This plant is sensitive to fluoride and hard minerals found in municipal tap water. Use distilled water, rainwater, or filtered water to prevent brown, crispy leaf edges.
Humidity: Thrives in high humidity environments (60% or higher). Run a humidifier nearby, place the pot over a wet pebble tray, or place it in a bright bathroom to keep the foliage pristine.
Temperature: Keep in a stable temperature range between 65°F and 80°F. Protect it from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and sudden heat sources.
Soil: Plant in a loose, airy, well-draining potting soil mix rich in organic matter (such as a blend of potting soil, peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark).

🐾 Pet Safety Information
Important safety alert for animal lovers: The Begonia Rex is toxic to both cats and dogs if ingested. The plant contains soluble calcium oxalates which can cause oral irritation, so it is highly recommended to display this stunning foliage on a high shelf or hanging planter safely out of reach of your furry friends.
