The DirtBags Eco-Promise

We believe in getting dirty responsibly. We love nature’s oddities, and we are fiercely committed to keeping wild spaces wild. Here is how we ensure your indoor green space protects the outdoor one:

- Homegrown & Sustainably Cultivated: We proudly grow and ship our own living plants straight from our facility, alongside 100% nursery-propagated live moss. We never source from wild habitats, protecting vulnerable natural wetlands from poaching.
- 100% Biodegradable Packaging: Our shipping and component materials are entirely eco-friendly, plastic-free, and home-compostable. Your kit components arrive safely inside fully compostable packaging, ensuring your project leaves a minimal footprint on the planet.
- Consciously Sourced Substrates: From our premium drainage stones to our specialized soil blends, we vet our ingredients down to the grain to ensure minimal environmental impact.

Care Instructions

- Light Requirements: Power on the integrated smart LED grow light to provide full-spectrum simulated sunlight. Use the built-in controller to program your automatic day/night cycles. Keep the glass vessel completely out of harsh, direct window sun to prevent heat from trapping inside the enclosure.
- Watering Layout: Utilize your included precision squeeze watering bottle to apply moisture directly to the substrate roots. If your package is configured for carnivorous plant varieties, water the substrate exclusively with distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Avoid tap water entirely to protect the roots from mineral buildup.
- Humidity & Airflow: Monitor the moisture levels using the clear glass walls. If excessive condensation forms, adjust your built-in ventilation cover slightly to increase airflow until the view clears up completely.

Pet Safety Information

- Toxicity Profiling: Safe for pets. The hardware, glass, substrate mix, and included live plants (such as Venus Flytraps and live moss) are 100% non-toxic to cats and dogs. However, because this setup uses high-clarity glass and electrical components, we recommend placing it on a secure tabletop or desk away from playful pets.
