🚿 Hanging Air Plant Care Guide
Keep your floating jellyfish thriving with these simple maintenance steps:
Watering Your Hanging Air Plant
Because the air plant is nested inside a delicate natural shell, do not spray water directly upward into the display. Instead, care for it using one of these two methods:
-
- The Soak Method (Highly Recommended): Gently take the entire display down once a week. Submerge the plant portion (and shell) in a bowl of room-temperature water for 20–30 minutes.
- The Mist Method: Alternatively, take the display down and heavily mist the green leaves with a spray bottle 2–3 times a week.
Critical Step: The Upside-Down Dry
-
- Shake and Dry: After soaking or misting, gently shake any excess water out of the leaves while holding the display upside down.
- Air It Out: Let the plant dry completely upside down on a towel for 2–4 hours before rehanging it. If water gets trapped inside the base of the plant inside the shell cavity, it will rot.
